INTRODUCTION
CS STEEL, leading the special steel industry of the Korea was reborn as the subsidiary
company of POSCO. CS STEEL established in Feb. 1997, through the asset acquisition of
SAMMI STEEL has 1,533 employees and a paid in capital of 360 billion won(US$ 254 million).
Main Lines of business is production and sales of
- Special steel bars & coils for automobile and defense industry end users
- Tool steels involved rolled bars, foreged bars, wide flat bars etc.
- Extrusion seamless pipes & tubes supplied to important key industries such as nuclear
power, chemical, petrochemical industries etc.
It recorded 390 billion won(US$ 276 million) in total sales in 1997.
